talk to you parents in detail and tell them the reasons, if the reasons are right enough they just might allow you to break the rules

I am relocating to another country with My boyfriend also and my family is dead set against the idea and I am 41 years old , so it goes to show that no matter how old you are your parents are not gonna see you as grown .

Yes you need to respect your parents but not to the point where they run your life after you have gotten out of the house . If you want to move you are certainly old enough to make this decision for yourself . Eventually they will stop being mad at you and accept that you are grown and know what you want .

What culture are you from and do you live at home ? If you do not live at home then do what you want . If you do just talk with them and explain your feelings and then do what you feel is right in your heart .

What country do you want to move too?Is he well liked by your family? You need to think about if he is truly the one for marriage and family for the rest of your life and if you are willing to relocate without your family.Think of what kind of jobs are there available in that country you did not mention.

Pack your bags and GO!

You are going to get one hell of a lecture from them about the importance of family, how much of a mistake your making and whether or not you love them any more umm what else.. oh why would you want to leave when you have everything here at home (But Freedom) .. ahh..

I know, one of my friends who's Cambodian did it and he says it was the best move he ever made.

If your parents are conservative, they won't like the word "boyfriend". They want the word "husband".
Think real hard, and decide if you are truly committed to this man.
What country are you moving from, and what country are you moving to? will you stay there, or come back one day?
Immigration laws may be just as important as your parents.

well if u live in the USA, then after u are 18, u are a legal adult, so your parents cant legally do ANYTHING to stop you from something like that. they have to respect USA law, and let you go, you are a grown up now, and can make your own decisions.

maybe you will be the first person in your culture to ignore the strict rules and do what you want with your life....it's your life, not the parent's life! Are you going to live your life or just be a victim/slave to cultural jail?
I'm so very glad to be in America where we have very few strict, rigid, mind-less cultural rules! And I feel so very sorry for those born into cultures with idiotic, strict rules that control folks every move!
good luck
