Why can't parents let their children free? Why can't they accept the fact that they're already grown up and can take care of themselves? Sometimes I was even called mama'sboy because of my MOM! Oh and by the way I'm 13 yrs. old.

Giving freedom to kids has its own timing...eventually you will grow and you will be set free all your life, your time in your parents home is also limited..in 5 years time you have to live on your own, so don't hurry and expedite things..just think your parents are only doing their duties as parents..and as a child , your duty is to obey them, so this is a tit for tat relationship...and besides, your parents no matter what to differentiate with animal parents will always be parents because they will forever support if not financially at least morally until your last breath, parents will always be parents!!! Just have fun , go to school ok>>>soon you will be set free!!!

The fun part of being a kid is that the whole world is so new and you ready to go out there and basically have some fun. The problem is that your parents have experience the world already. By trails and errors they know more of the danger that all around you.

Therefore, they want to protect you from it. It's like this if you had to take care of a 3 year old outside. You are going to make sure that the 3 year old won't run in the street, because the child doesn't know the danger of getting hit by a car.

As a 13 year old, your parents wants to protect you and educate you as well. When you become 17 or 18, you can see and do everything you desire, because you'll be an adult. The world is getting so crazy even in school its dangerous. God bless.

You're 13. You won't be let free until you are 18 and even then your mom will care about you and your well being. You should be honored that you have parents who love you and care about you. There are so many people in the world that have no one and they are living in children's homes and foster care. Get over it! Do as they say...you might be a parent one day.

They don't trust you. The way you act is to immature and reckless. Just the fact of you getting to a fit about being called a mama's boy was immature. Living your life on the opinions of others is stupid. My parents trusted me because I knew my age and what I could and couldn't do. You are standing there thinking you can take care of yourself and that you're grown up. Unless you have a steady job and a place to rent, everything you wrote is immature.

Well, sorry to say, but every kid still has a lot of growing up to do when they're 13. You are probably just starting to go through puberty. My 24 year-old brother still gets called a mama's boy. So hang in there, when you turn 18, you have the choice to be completely on your own. thats only 5 more years for you. I'm 16, so I have 2 more years to go, but I'm still scarred to get out there by myself. It's always comforting to have parent's to lean back on when times get tough.... : )

When you start paying your own bills, you get to make the rules. You're not grown up and you cannot take care of yourself. Get hurt and see who you call for, it'll be your mom.

Don't pay attention to what other people think, be a 13yr old kid and leave the growing up stuff for your future.

Because no matter what you do you're always going to be mama's little boy. Or probably becuase you get a long better with your mama. Doesn't it really matter? You're only 13 you are at the stage where you think you know everything but you don't.

Because it is a parent's duty to make sure their kids are doing fine. You might feel very annoyed right now. However, when bad things happened to you, they'll be the one who support you, and love you till the end of the world. I think that even though you dont want your mom to call you a mama's boy, you do love your mom and you want her to acknowledge you right? :)

LOL You're 13 and you're all grown up and can take care of yourself?

Let me guess. You want to set your own rules, but you still want to live in your parents' comfy house, eat their food, keep your computer and video games....

Nope. That's not how it works.

Well, Answer me this.......

Why should Parents have Kids and Teens to raise and train them in the ways that they should go,,, if young people under 18 are going to run off into doing ''their own'' thing?

Goes both ways, don't it? =)
