yes, and you sound like you are also developing a phobia,it may be the last thing you need to hear but you must speak to a doctor who can get you on the proper medication, and nip this in the bud early, if u wont go alone then go with a freind or ur mum, please go you dont deserve to go through this at your age, things will get better after you see the doctor you may not even need medication, for there are lots of other things that can be done,ie relaxation tapes, and breathing excercises.but please go,and when you do let me know how you get on,you take care and i hope you feel better soon.

Hi, Kirsty. Thank you for sharing your story.

I see you've been trying really hard to overcome your problem but with little stumbling blocks.

Have you been treated for depression? As this can cause panic attacks and anxiety.

Many people find that it isn't necessarily the fact that they're depressed that's the problem, it's the physical lack of energy associated with it that's hard to overcome. Medication or other treatment can help with this. I know that 10 years ago when I was beginning my treatment for depression, (the loss of my father) my therapist suggested a few simple lifestyle changes that made my life easier and seemed to give me more energy. Eating habits, having a schedule and getting in some medium to maximum impact physical activity during my week are some examples. These didn't make anything completely better, but I found that I did have more energy to the things that I had always wanted to do. It also gets you out of the house and back into the social scene.

If you haven't already, talk to a doctor or a therapist about possible solutions to overcoming depression, panic attacks, anxiety. They'll have suggestions for everything from therapy to medication.

I hope this helped. Good Luck!

It sounds to me like you're suffering from social anxiety rather than panic disorder. From what you've said this has already taken quite a firm grip on your life. My advice would be to book an appointment with your GP. There are a number of medications, chiefly antidepressants which came help alleviate the worst of your symptoms. I'm saying this as I think your anxiety is too acute to respond to other treatments such as CBT in the short term. The drugs which can help with social anxiety are SSRI antidepressants. Venlafaxine can also be of benefit too. If you do decide to take medication it will take quite a long time before you see any improvement.. Sometimes this can be up to several months before the full benefit is achieved. In the meantime you could ask to be referred for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ( CBT ) Probably the most important thing that you can do for yourself is to continue going out as much as possible- at least don't become more of a recluse, as avoiding your fears will steengthen them over time.

Try asking the Lord into your life. I did many years ago and He has helped me and blessed me a lot. Read the Bible (New Testament first). Psalm 34:4 says I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears. Also, look up these verses: Isaiah 41:10, John 14:27, John 3:16, Romans 10:13, Romans 5:8, Romans 3:23. God loves you. Jesus died for your sins and rose again. He doesn't want you having panic attacks. Proverbs 3:5,6 says "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." Pray. Ask God to take the panic attacks away. I'll pray for you too.

I'm going through the same thing. It's called social anxiety disorder and you're in the beggining of it. I have panic attacks everyday, i can't go in large crowds, and i also avoid paying for anything and i stay in the car. I'm on medication now because i've lost all my friends from not being able to socialize. Mine has gotten out of control but you should try to stop it before it gets like mine. You need to go into counseling who deal with social anxiety disorder and get a psyciatrist. Try to get back into social situations slowly and practice on it.

Apart from asking for God's help, trying to pull yourself together and taking herbal remedies, how about trying something a bit more sensible? How about realising that you ARE ILL, it's not all in your mind, and IT'S NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF? Try going to your GP and discussing this illness. Any tablets your GP prescribes may well work, but you must give them time. Ask how long they may take, then write this date in your diary. Keep a record of how you feel on each day. Please do not expect an instant cure - be realistic. Good luck.

Check out Omega 3s fatty acids and vitaman B1 , and think about staying away from stimulants, pray, and ignore the panic.

The old saying be it you do not feed something it will die.

Also the bible says as a person thinks so are they.
Dont let the panic think for you. Think for yourself.

Force your mind to think of anything good, as soon as the panic comes, do not think about the panic, refuse it.
