Tuberoot,

Would like a recent example? How about the fact that the westboro Baptist Church regularly attends events that are occupied by Christians, and the some of the Christians stand up to them, but the fact that a unified stance is not made at something that is a blatant mockery of their faith is not done by the bulk of the people of the same faith there, is pretty much letting them know that they are fine with their actions.

If the bulk of the people that are honest about their faith, stand up to the dishonest ones, then religious extremism would be obliterated. Sadly, people with cruel intent seem to be much more ready to join forces and stand up for what they believe in, then those without that intent, and that is a factor that keeps society held back as a whole.

would you want to take on a crazy killer Muslim or a rabid Jehovah Witness or trade doctrine with a follower of Jesus Christ latter Day Saints ?
Scary , right ?
Just look at some of the Q A on this site and the differing opinions ,--they cant all be right !

and people want to be RIGHT !

Well that's what the Holy Bible is for --Not the JW bible or the Catholic bible or the Mormon / Muslim book etc etc --
they are all counterfeits, knock offs so to speak

But the problem is that the Bible seems to contradict itself ( it does not really )

See my Q A for some more help --take your time and let the Spirit Help you

Be Blessed my friends

What are you supposed to do? Kill the extremists? That's a dumb question, really.

The Catholic Church kept their faith unified and consistent for about 1000 years without any trouble. Any time that any person disagreed with them on a theological point, they killed that person. Worked great for a while. 1000 years.

When Martin Luther came along, they simply did not have the political power to kill him in the exact location where he was staying. That's all there was to it.

What is someone supposed to do, shoot them? Actually, you just said more about yourself than anything that you said about anyone else. You allow certain people to associate themselves to others who you know are not like the others?

Speaking for myself.
