When a light turns red and pedestrians walking from the same direction you were driving start to cross , they have the right of way. If there walk signals at the intersections, walkers may have the right of way until the signal changes. Remember, if you hit a pedestrian, whether he does not have theright of way or does, you are at fault, mucho pronto!

It is against the law to cross a street against a red light, but that does not mean it is like death race 2000 and you have the right to pick them off...you must always give a pedestrian the right of way even if they are wrong.

In many states they do...it's illegal of them to do so, but once they break the law and walk into the street, they have right of way.

AS THE LAW STATES YOU HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO LET THAT PERSON WALK THROUGH EVEN THOUGH THIS IS ALL BACKWARDS.

In California they do, even if J-walking.
