It's just a story. Even the people who wrote the Bible realized that.

Why bother to believe that Adam and Eve existed at all if you don't believe what is written about them? If they weren't the first humans, as scripture claims, there's no reason to give another thought to them. There's nothing in the story that indicates in any way that they were *just* the first believers. Scripture *explicitly* states that they were the very first humans. If you're tossing that part of the story out, why rewrite and accept the rest?

This is a very good question. I believe that Adam and Eve were an experiment in genetic breeding by extra-terrestrials; i.e. "God". They had a unique and powerful relationship with their creators (Elohim); and an ongoing journey of destiny, hope and faith. Evolution began with that experiment, and it continues today, for better or worse, in many hands.

yes they were the first humans and everyone came from them, even though it may seem incredible to you..
After the flood all people came from Noah's family ..
I don't have a clue how the evolutionists would try to explain that a male and female both came out of the mud at the same time and started the human race?? But they probably have some explanation

Nature DOES do this with other species. Other species don't have the same problem with inbreeding that humans do.
Adam and Eve didn't have to believe in God. He actually spoke to them, revealing himself to them. So belief wasn't even an issue.

They were part of a creation myth, that's all. Do a search on "creation myths." You will find thousands of them.
