I know eating before going to bed is bad, but if I go to bed hungry then I either can't sleep or I sleepwalk, but I'm trying to lose several pounds before Thanksgiving. What are some good light snacks that you can eat before bed?

(I never liked yogurt, so anything but that)

Thanks!

there's nothing wrong with eating at night it's what you consume and in what quantity that matters. just because it's "x" time of the day doesn't mean that the body doesn't need nutrients. at night when the level of activity is low you would want to stick with vegetables and lean proteins, no carbs. so that would include most white fish, skinless poultry, egg whites, low fat cottage cheese and powdered protein supplements.

Have something that has a good amount of fibre. Fibre takes longer to digest, and makes you feel fuller. So try a fruit salad, or and apple with peanut butter and a piece of toast with a glass of milk. Or veggies and dip with some crackers and light cheese slices. Also drink lots of water thoughout the day and one an hour or so before bed will help you feel full. Also eat five times a day, three meals and two snacks. That will help boost your metabolism. You could also try working out in the morning, this also boosts your metabolism. Hope this helps!

have a warm glass (or cold) of milk with a teaspoon of honey...it will make you drowsy and the sweetness might satisfy you long enough to fall asleep
