I don't think U.S. fundamentalists are very well-informed people generally. This is no exception. Hardly a week goes by without another incident in occupied Palestine demeaning christians, yet those people would crawl around on the ground if the super-race of their OT told them to.

Before Israel was a state, the Jews killed British troops, using suicide bombers--now you know who started that trend. Then during the 1960s Israel bombed the USS Liberty killing 34 U.S. servicemen and wounding at least 173. the USS Liberty was in international waters when attacked--Israel claimed the ship was spying on them. As far as immigration is concerned, Israel does not accept Christian Jews for immigration. The biggest mistake the do-gooders ever committed was carving a chunk out of Palestine for a Jewish homeland. Everything the USA touches becomes divided. Korea, Vietnam, and Germany are good examples of American justice. I do not like organized revealed religions but I do not spit on their holy things and I have not seen them spit on mine. Their toys are theirs and mine are mine. I have Christians get in my face over politics and religious issues but I have yet to assault one of them. Violence corrupts good intentions no matter who they are. Spitting is a violent act, it is an assault and I probably would have reacted the same. If i stand to one side and allow a Jewish procession to go by unmolested, I would expect that same courtesy when my parade goes by.

Not sure what your point is. Is this supposed to anger us? Not at all. This attitude has been around for thousands of years but Christians know that there will come a day that will change. The establishment of the state of Israel is more important because it is another step toward Christs return. Jerusalem will be the center of action. A little spit and disagreement means nothing.

Another blame the whole based on the actions of the one...
Liberals.
1st, like any news story, you can hardly have full faith that we got the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
2nd..spitting on the Cross is offensive. Any thinking person with a conscience does not spit on a sacred symbol of Faith for millions. It is indefensible.
3rd ..... Last I checked, and Archbishops are human too, and can react disgracefully.
To answer your question..there are a few reasons. The Jews are God's Chosen People, and are critical in the Christan end time scenario. We are told that God will Bless those that support His people, and extend His wrath on those that don't.
In the war on terror, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

This is one of the occasions when the answers are much more revealing, and interesting, than the question would initially imply. It seems that we still live in the middle ages amongst the great unwashed and huddled masses, the ones who didnt yearn to be free. How did they end up over here with the rest of us I wonder? What has happened to the educational system that a question such as this is answered with quotes from myths? Sometimes I almost despair.....

Remember King David and King Saul?
No matter How Many Times King Saul Tried to kill King David, King David did not Harm King Saul.
See, King David KNEW that King Saul was GOD's Man.
Even when King Saul Acted "Ugly".
The Jews are GOD's Chosen People.
GOD will Curse whoever Curse's them.
GOD will Bless whoever Blesses them, no matter how Ugly they Act.
Oh, did I tell you the Rest of the Story?
King Saul got Cursed.
King David got Blessed.
You Reap What You Have Sown.
Works Every Time.

They don't treat Christians as bad as Muslims. I feel very good about being a Zionist myself.
There has to my knowledge no videos of Christians having their heads sawed off by Jews. Only the Muslims.
Thanks for reminding me by the way.

"I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
"The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins."
As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable."

We support the Jewish state because we believe it is the fulfillment of God's prophesy through Ezekiel. We do not view Israel as being perfect by any means, and recognize that though we love them as fellow believers in Hashem, we will not be accepted by them until they know Yeshua. This is sad, but we also know that of those that are redeemed by G-d, we will be with them forever before the LORD.
