Dead matter have no consciousness. Besides, the material body (whatever name had designated) now is vanished.
But it may happen if someone became a ghost.

If they want to. Most spirits move on a year or so after they die, if not immediately after. They lose interest in the material world when they cross over. Some stick around to look out for family, so it depends.
