I think we all have a fear of the unknown. Death may hurt. I am not afraid of what happens after death because I have assurance of my Salvation.

You are indeed correct. I dont know what is going to happen to me after I die. I do believe that I will be in God's presence. Am I afraid, Im sure I am at that moment, whenever it comes. But if I knew I was going to die tonight, I would be at peace. I got saved, turn away for several years, and have recently come back to God. I tell you, I have bashed Christianity, I have hated the religion before, I have said some hurtful things. But now, after I have come to a low point in my life, I realize what I did was wrong. I became humbled and humiliated, because that is what it took for someone as stubborn as I to come back to God. I cant tell you I know I will go to Heaven, I dont have that knowledge, no one does. But look around you. Look at the seas, the mountains, the volcanos, the other planets. Is this all an accident? Look at the other religions. Christianity is a religion of both love and justice, the pure religion. No hate, no bigotry. I cant work my way to heaven and neither can you. We are imperfect, unworthy to be in God's presence. We have to have someone pay for our sins, because we are not capable of doing so. Christianity is the only faith that fulfills that. It is also backed up by some history, some natural facts. You dont have to choose between science and Christianity, can they not coincide?

Your question is not if Christians fear death, the answer is yes, we fear death just like anybody else.
Are we afraid of dying, NO, we are not. For a true child of God knows that once his or her life has ended on this Earth, then after death they will be in the presence of God himself in Heaven.
Those that are afraid of dying are the non-believers that refuse to accept God as their Savior and Lord. They are the ones that will have to go through the Tribulation period after the second coming of Jesus Christ as foretold in the book of the Revelation.

Why should I be afraid of Death?
The thought of dying in pain is intimidating, but even in that case I know my Lord will be with me, and thats what matters. The Bible gives 100% assurance that those who call upon the name of the Lord will get saved and go to heaven eventually. Death can be compared to moving---to a much more beautiful place, where sickness, death and pain do not exist. Its something to look forward to.
People say there is no afterlife, we just stop existing, etc.
No offense to anyone, I think thats pretty sad and hopeless. What's the point of this life if there's no afterlife???

I believe that most people are afraid of death. But, no we don't think it would be fun to have a car run over us. Even if you have faith in knowing where you will go when you die, I don't know anyone who is looking forward to dying.
However, if I thought that death was the end of everything, it would scare me.
2 Corinthians 5:7-9 (NLT)
7 For we live by believing and not by seeing. 8 Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him.

I'm not afraid of dying as a matter of fact I'm looking forward to it. Heaven as described in Isaiah: 65 & 66, Revelation: 21 & 22.
Heaven is peace and tranquilty, a place where ther are no more cancer wards, No more pain, physically or mentally. No more drug & alcohol addiction. No more neglected children, no more children taken never to heard from again, no more sickness at all, no darkness in Heaven.
We will be able to bow before our God to praise and worship
Him without fear.
There are so many other mentions it would take all night, so my time is limited.
Check-out these Scriptures, you may find a surprise.

The way you're being facetious is silly. Of course no one in their right mind looks at it this way. I'm not afraid of dying , but it's more the thought of HOW one may die because usually there's some sort of pain associated with it. No human being wants to feel pain, Christian or otherwise (unless they have a mental problem) Even Jesus, and He came from the Father, didn't want to feel that pain that He was going to go through. But overall, we believe that there's a heavenly place for us and when we die, we shall live again.

A car a most hit me and it would have proably killed me and the first thing out of my mouth (in fear of being smashed up) was
JESUS! I don't fear death at all. I fear the process of dieing just like anybody else does. Maybe to you, life after death is uncertain, and so to you I would say...If you don't believe in Jesus and He does exist..what do you lose? ETERNITY! If you believe in Jesus and He doesn't exist...what do you lose? NOTHING...this is Pascal's Wager. I believe because I have studied many religions which go back to the beginning of faith. Others, who are Christian don't feel the need to do so, they simply believe. It is different for everyone.

I would like to start off with "are you afraid of death?" Well the answer is no I am not afraid of the the thought of death because my faith allowes me to get through it. Now if the question is "Am I afraid at the moment of death?" then I would say the answer probably yes I would probably not be okay with it at that very moment however there comes a point when one must accept what is reallity and death IS reaallity

No I don't thank about death, I'm 79, and plan to live pass 100. I have much more to learn about God, and what He has planed for me. I know He is leading me some place, He put me here for something.
I know when I die, I will go to my grave(hell), and there I will sleep until Jesus returns the second time.
I know when we die, we don't go to be in God's presents; for flesh and blood, cannot enter the kingdom of God; we have to be changed by Jesus, from mortal, to immortal(spirit).
Another thing. no one is going to heaven, we are all going to be right here on the new earth, with God the Father and His Son, Jesus. Rev. 21.

Death comes to us all....and there is nothing to fear except fear itself! I am not physically ready to die yet, but when it's my time to go, I will not be afraid of where I will spend eternity. I know that heaven exists....I have complete faith and trust in God above!! It saddens me that you don't ...but in the end that is between you and God.
