Anybody mix any kind of liquor with Mountain Dew? Just wondering what's good, if anything. I had Malibu or something like that one time and it was pretty good.

People have been mixing soda pop with alcohol since soda pop has been around. Heck, there's even an old song called "Rum and Coca-Cola". Mountain Dew shouldn't be any different. My choice, since it's supposed to be a citrus-y soda, is vodka, gin, or any clear liquor you would mix with orange juice. I am drinking a 12-oz. Baja Blast with a shot of vodka and it's pretty good. You don't want a lot of vodka or gin in it, or you will overpower it. Stick with about a shot or two for every 12-16 ounces of Dew.

I used to love Mountian Dew and I love me some alcoholic beverages, however the two tastes kinda funny together. Your best bet would be Bacardi Rum no question. Although if you are going to do rum and cola, might has well be a rum and Coke with a slice of lime. Spiced rum and vanilla cream soda has always been a favorite of mine or a Crown and Coke, both of those are very easy to drink. If you are worried about an overpowering alcohol taste, prehaps try some Skyy Vokda and Orange Juice.

I ran out of Coke one night and mixed the rest of my Captain Morgan with Mountain Dew. I was expecting it to be not so good but it turned out to be pretty tasty. I usually do not use MD as a mixer with anything. Good times!!!

hmmmmm , probably vodka? though I'm not sure, when you mentioned mountain dew to be mixed for an alcoholic beverage, tom collins popped into my mind, but you can make that with either vodka or rum, I prefer rum myself., but normally its mixed with seltzer water, and not a soda, but I think dew would work just as well.
