Lately I have been interested in helping poor kids, in orphanages or kids with cancer or things like dat. Anything similar to that, because I feel like I could really make a difference. I live in New Jersey and I tried to find places here where I could go and visit them, and possibly help.
Anyways my question is... where are there places here in New Jersey where I can contribute ???
Anyone know????

See if your city has a Children's Hospital. They can always use volunteers, someone to sit with children waiting for treatments, etc....
God Bless You...
Check the link below, it might help you find a location...

God bless you and your efforts to help these children. They REALLY NEED people like you that really care about them. We need more people in this world that has a heart like yours.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Go to Google and search on non-profits New Jersey.
search New Jersey nonprofit and get a list. Take your pick. Look at your results and narrow your results. Keep at it. Stay at it until you find a group you feel comfortable with. Good luck, sweetie. Go for it.

I have an idea, buy inexpensive toys - wrap them up. On the gift tag write from santa and drive to a not so nice neighborhood and pass them out on Christmas eve or christmas day... If you know a man or woman that will be willing to dress up as SAnta would be awesome.

HI! I live in AL and there is this place called the valley rescue mission. But you might try the good will or a community church. Better yet try right down the street.

I lived in Oregon with my ex fiance and her family, and we were poor. We ate Ramen all the time, and I surprisingly never got sick of it. I still eat from time to time, but I did fail. Cause I can't eat that crap all the time again.

where i am from there are big brothers/big sisters programs where you can do that. try looking up big sisters. also we have shelters where drug addicted moms and their kids are around here or battered women's shelters. so try looking up homeless shelters or drug rehab programs where the moms can bring their kids. there are usually lots of toys for tots type programs at christmas. try volunteering at a food bank.
