"Americans know we have an illegal immigration problem. And most of us have a good idea about how to start fixing it -- secure our borders, and enforce the law," he says, adding "giving up, by granting amnesty is not the answer. It's unfair to those who have played by the rules and ignores the rule of law. It's also a matter of national security."

RON PAUL has been saying that for years.

What does Fred say about the North American Union? Does he know that the refusal to enforce immigration by the Administration is part of the plan for the North American Union? Does he know about the NAFTA Super Highway?

Stick with Ron Paul....he has been against amnesty from the very start...as for Fred Thompson...he's ok...but I am always suspicious about someone who decides to declare a point in the middle of a race....

Fred Thompson wants no amnesty so that he could get the votes of the other sector in the coming election.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Thompson will likely win.

He's right of course, but hardly the first or only candidate to emphasize the need for enforcement. What's different about Fred's plan is that he wants to make things easier for those who do obey the law - what a concept! Go Fred!

Within the Repub party you have several factions: No Amnesty-Pro life/Amnesty-Pro life/Amnesty-Pro choice, so Fred Thompson may corner the part that is No Amnesty, but depending on where he comes in on the Pro-life issue is going to decide whose votes he gets on that issue. It's really a mess at this point!

Fred may just get him self elected if he is for shipping out all the illegals.. it is what Americans want.. the other candidates just can't seem to understand that.. I don't know if they are just stupid or they think they know more than the average prison.

Go Fred!!!

In the final analysis, the elections are going to center around economics. People vote with their pocketbooks. Most are concerned with inflation, and maybe a coming depression. They do not want to vote for someone who wants to raise taxes. This is where the Dems are losing, and they are going to have to start addressing it soon.
