yes and no. Untreated Celiacs have a messed up immune system bc it is thought until they start the gluten free diet, their immune systems are going haywire trying to deal with the 'foreign' gluten.
Celiac is an autoimmune system, so yes left untreated can lead to problems and chronic infection is a symptom of Celiac.
However, once one starts the Gluten free diet and sticks to it for life, the Celiac patient is generally thought to be as healthy as 'normal' and just needs routine endoscopies and will need tow atch for things like osteoporosis, cancers, etc bc of all the years of untreated gluten eating.

There are two answers to this. If the celiac patient is following a strict gluten free diet, then probably has immune system similar to non-celiacs. If the celiac patient is not strict with the gluten free diet, then that continual assault on the intestine will weaken the immune system and in addition to the conditions that may show up from celiac, the body may be more susceptible to bacteria and viruses.

Unmanaged celiac sufferers will have a weakened immune system, yes. Once it's under control, the immune system should return to normal.
I've read that a child can be brought under control in six months, an adult takes up to 2 years. Gluten "accidents" will set you back, depending how often they occur, and the quantity of gluten involved.
