I'm 17, the youngest of three brothers and one sister, and I get looked down upon by everyone in my family...They think I'm shy, but I'm really just observing..I'm not afraid to talk...they also use to believe i was the "dumb one" of the family..Whatever I say is automatically wrong, even if what I say is correct...but I ended up going to college at the age of 16...(they still find negatives about that)...lets see...what else...Well..i read a lot and for some reason, they believe that's a "bad" thing, don't ask me why, because i have no idea...Don't get me wrong about my family...They do have their good sides too..its just that...those are things I just can't stand...and its SO annoying to have to come home to this everyday...They always seem to lower my self esteem every time I'm near them...but I am trying to just get "use to it"..its very difficult to though...I am a very independent person thanks to them...so i do have to say thank you to them for that one...

Well, both my parents have long since left this world! But, I think I am a loyal son-in-law to my wife's mother (My wife's father has departed too). She knows she can count on me to be there if she needs me, and I know we can turn to her when we need help. She loves me as if I was her own son (in some ways she is closer to me than she is to my wife's brother), and I love her as if she was my own mother!

The roll has reversed in with my parents. 4 years ago I took care of my dad before he passed away. Since dads passing I have been taking care of my mom. She has dementia and memory loss.

17 very independant and like to be by myself when i am at home.i guess it is due to my stepmom who thinks i am a jackass and a punk for no good reason.even my friends think she is mental.everyone else sees me as a responsible 17 year old who does his chose when told.even my managers at my work have already given me almost $4.00 in raises in the few months that i worked there.so i guess you could add hard-working to that.

I am the oldest. They see me as the one who will not conform, the black sheep who does what I want, when I want, regardless of the consequences. However I believe they also view me as whimsical, creative & "different"!!
