I know I'm not a guy, but my boyfriend gave me a few romantic things. The first was a list of the top 50 reasons why he loved me. And the other was for my birthday, a build-a-bear and a necklace, but he hid the necklace in boxers that the bear was wearing. He knew I'd find that funny and I appreciate that he actually put thought into that.

Something else romantic is to think of something that the girl has told you and bring it back. Especially if it's something she's only mentioned once and didn't expect you to remember. Like her favorite flower, candy, or lotion scent. Something you haven't bought for her before. She'll find it soooo cute that you remembered something about her.

On my senior trip in high school we went to San Francisco. I went to pier 39 and there was a booth with fresh oysters...gaurenteed each to have a pearl....so I picked the smallest oyster (the smaller the oyster the bigger the pearl) and got a nice, maybe 11-12 mm pinkish white pearl! It was beautiful.... I had it mounted on a silver necklace.... I planned to give it to her on the trip but couldnt get the courage so I kept it until graduation and gave it to the girl I liked then. I wonder if she still has it or remembers?

I wrote her a kick*ss rock song with lyrics as follows:

"When will we ever get to see each other?
Maybe someday. Maybe never.
Distance is our greatest enemy.
If we keep up, we can overcome.
May we be best friends forever.
Comforting, helping, but flirting is funner.

I'll be your hero, hunny. I'll be your fallback boy.
I'll be the main attraction and all your pride and joy.
I'll be your confidence, your security.
I'll be the main attraction, and everything in between.

Wishful thinking, fantasies, fairy tales -
May it come true. May it be for real.
Just say the word and I'll save you.
I may be far, but I'm your hero too.
Nothing can come between our love.
It's unconditional, you know I love ya.

Someday we'll find why it is this way.
Then we will know, it had to be this way."

I also gave her a poster of her favorite cartoon character.

A drawing of the two of us kissing, a music video of the two of us to All I Ask of You, MP3s of me singing her favourite songs, a box full of her favourite lipstick... and some more things. I guess you'd have to ask her which one was the best.

I've never been good at giving "things," but, as stated above, my time, my heart, my undivided attention, and the knowledge that it doesn't matter. Whatever, whenever.
