My 20 month old sprained her ankle and they put a splint on it (cast-like on the underside to stabilize, and then wrapped up all around) anyway, we kept it on for the alotted time, and i wound up taking it off to wash the ace bandage she had gotten dirty..she walked fine on it, where as before, she would take a step and cry. So, i left it off. today (a few days after having it off) We took her to the zoo.. for the first time i noticed her foot turned inward when she walked, more so when she ran... i mean really crooked. i hadnt noticed it before, and i'm pretty worried about it. I am going to take her to see the doctor, but im wondering if maybe its like that from being in the cast, or does it hurt her and she doest care to let me know, or what??? thanks for reading this

Hey, I'm assuming you went to the ER the first time. Was it a children's ER? Did they do x-rays?

I'm glad you're taking your daughter in, because I think this could be a real problem. I'm guessing the ankle either healed really really tight, or else there was more wrong than a sprain. Talk to her pedi, and if you're still worried, see a specialist!
