I get drunk in the Spirit after I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. I love the presence of God. It makes me so joyful. I feel high when I pray for others. I also feel high when I praise and worship my Lord.

Been a long time since I laughed this much while in R&S. Tonight has been a riot!
I would say that most people are medical Jesus users. They call on him anytime they're in trouble or in need of assistance. I, on the other hand, am not a Jesus user at all. I prefer to use other things, other, unimaginary things, when I want to get high.

Haha, exactly that! Get high on Jesus, man I haven't been able to do that in a long time...only a few times when I've been prayed for before I go to bed. God He can be SOOO wonderful! He's not available as easily as wordly things that get you high...He doesn't want to be used medically, He wants us to want Him and need Him 24/7!!!

It's a cutesy little anti-drug slogan, but people really can work themselves into a state of religious frenzy that will give them a high like chocolate or sex. Some get really hysterical and do what they call "speaking in tongues" or handle poisonous snakes. Others develop stigmata.

Religious ecstasy can be reached by anyone if they have the focus - it's not specific to Christianity, they just get the most publicity. It's a function of the brain but it's connected to spirit, too, or at least it can be. Wicce in particular values the power of ecstatic ritual - dancing, drinking, tripping, f***ing are all ways to commune with the divine. Remember "all acts of Love and Pleasure are Her rituals."

Getting high on Jesus is a phrase that was used to mean a non drug related spiritual high. A high you can only achieve when in prayer and being touched by the Holy Spirit. Has nothing to do with weed or any other drug.

I used to get high on life. I would sieze the day.

But then one day wasn't enough. I started siezing two days, then a week, then a month...

Well there's a natural high, a spiritual high and a drug-induced high - and I've been on all three.

No comparison - the spiritual high is the best and the longest lasting too!
