She is too busy. As long as she is hearing okay, that's normal. She probably hears you, but she just doesn't care. Toddlers are like that.

Of course it's normal. There are adults that dont pay attention to their name until you yell it at them, when they are entertained by something else. Babies and toddlers have growing, one-track minds. In all reality it's probably a little advanced your child responds as often as she does. Children are very busy, even if it's not physical/visible.

I'd say that's better than average. My 14 month old is probably 60% and I can't get my 4 year old to respond to his name even 10% of the time!

of course it's normal . She's having too much fun the other 20% of the time to be bothered with having to stop what she's doing and pay attention to the person calling her name. If you were having a good 'ol time would you stop everything everytime you heard your name being called just to see if you responded to it??

That's better than normal. My son is 18months and it takes several times for me to say his name to get his attention. I think they are off in their own little world most of the time. When I do get his attention however, he will just look at me, giggle, then run off and play. Everything is a game to them at this stage in their lives. Have fun with it.

Yes, it is. When she is being entertained, she doesn't worry about her name. Just wait a while she will respond soon.

this is very normal
she's to busy to care that her name is being called or to intent on what she's doing to notice
it's only an issue when they dont respond at all

Better than my 3 year-old son. He finally started answering us when we called because he got in trouble for not answering us when we were camping and we couldn't see him. He was hiding in my sister's tent.
