Well Lot was the only righteous man in Sodom and Gomorrah(sp).
Also..Moses stopped God from killing all of the hebrews after they left egypt...
As far as being spiritually saved, each man is judged on his own actions.

If that were true, we wouldn't have to be praying and requesting prayer for our unsaved loved ones, would we? When a child reaches the age of knowing right from wrong (sin), they are accountable to God for their own actions. It's my belief that God saved Lot's family because in the Old Testament, they lived by the Law, and now we live by Grace, according to the New Testament. Each person has the opportunity to ask God into their heart and whether or not they choose to do that is their choice. So many of my family aren't saved and it's breaking my heart. Unless every person asks God into their heart, through Jesus, our Mediator, they are lost. That's the way I was brought up. The Bible says in Heaven, we'll know each other as we did on earth and I know my father, mother and sister are there and I want to live a good life so that I will see them again. I sure don't want to go to hell to spend eternity. I don't know that you'll agree with my interpretation or anyone else's but we have to live with our own convictions. Please pray for my daughter who is on drugs really bad and she promised God if she got out of jail she would change and live right and she's back to the same thing and I am so worried about her. Sorry for adding this if it bothered you.

First, God saved Lot and his family for they were the only ones that believed in God in Sodom and Gomorrah, not because Abraham requested it. Abraham was concerned about Lot and questioned God about His nature in sparing the righteous - even if one were found. But, God spared Lot and family for the righteousness that was reckoned to them by their own belief in God...and subsequent trust and obedience to God's commands in godly living.
Man has no righteousness in himself.
Only through belief in God was righteousness reckoned to Abraham as well - as recorded in Genesis. And, now for us, only when we have faith in Christ as Lord will the righteousness of Christ be imputed to us.
We cannot make others have faith, not even loved ones. Similarly, we cannot direct Christ to impute His righteousness upon others. God is a just God, and will punish the guilty. He will punish those who reject Him - even loved ones; and, save those who believe in Him. We all must make that choice on our own.
So, to directly answer your question, only the righteousness of Christ imputed to the faithful person justifies him before God the Father, and saves his soul from the lake of fire - the second death [Rev. 20]. We have no righteousness of ourselves, nor do we have the ability to re-direct the righteousness imputed to us, upon those we love. The best thing we can do for loved ones is to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them while they are living.
Incidentally, Acts 16:31 is often misinterpreted as though if one person believes and is saved, then his entire household is also saved. This is a false translation. Just as a believing spouse sanctifies [to be changed into a more Christ-like person] the other who is unbelieving [1 Cor. 7:14], so to does one believing member of a household have a sanctifying effect on the others. This sanctification effect often leads to individual choices for Christ amongst all the household. Still, the decisions are individual.

They were saved 'from' death...not from where they were going to spend eternity. The only way to be saved for eternity is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9 and 10)
PS we can NEVER be righteous enough to find favor with God. He freely gives His favor to those who simply ask for it and accept it. And there are many accounts of God 'sparing' loved ones because of the belief of a family member. Keep praying for them.

It is up to your family and loved ones to come to know Christ as saviour.
The Jailor asked Paul how he could be saved, and paul responded "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy whole house." He was telling the Jailor that everyone in his family could be saved, if they believed. The next verse proves this out Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
Our own righteousness is as filthy rags to God.
You can be a guiding light to your loved ones, If you live a life of faith, they may see that in you and want what you have. As far as GOd saving them by your righteousness or favor, It dosn't work that way.

There is an idea that on the Day of Judgement, those who need His mercy to remain alive- some of those people's merits are really from other people- who it would hurt to have this person not survive. So it could be possible.

G*D has offerred us his only begotten Son to save us all.
We only have to accept his forgiveness & we'll be saved.
We don't need to rely on Abraham or Moses as before.
