It isn't a problem at my current residence- but at the place we used to live, it was.
We had these lazy, cracksmoking b*stards for neighbors, whom liked to play their rap music EXTREMELY and EXASPERATINGLY LOUD even in the WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING. I am talkin' 3 am, here, folks.
We called the cops on 'em. But then, the dude next door had the audacity to actually come up to me as I sat in my car, and asked me to just come to his house and knock on the door and TELL him if the music was too loud.
What the fudge? Can you believe this?
Anywho, if it ever happens again, what should I do?

Nothing. You said it: Idiots they are and always will be.
Don't ever expect them to come over and ask "kind sir, where is the grey poupon?"

I am going through the same thing as we speak. Well type. Most people have absolutely no respect for other people that live around them. The only thing I can tell you to do is what I do; ignore them to the best of your ability, and be glad that you could move ( or in my case I'll be glad when I can move). Im not really sure if calling the police helps, but try it. Try tuning it out somehow, or report it to the landlord.

Lol, excuse me for laughing, but I do have an abnoxious neighbor. they curse their kids ages 10 - 12 or so, and they let the kids curse them in public mind you. & they are the filthyest bunch of heathens I ever saw in my life. I called the authorities on them, for our state. It was taken care of, but I am in need to do it again, and you would think they would take a hint? Nope! : ) So guess, what? What ever it takes to get them to stop Is what I am going to do. they are filthy people and have animals in a small house. Children are left alone after school and are rude to the neighbors. Their dogs crap and stuff inothers yards and they don't care. I have called the Dog pound and I will do it again. Suggestion? I say be persistant when calling in on them.

Call the cops.... Have a party and play some bluegrass or country when the least expect it and make sure they hear it..... Start putting up rebel flags and stuff like that.... Maybe they will move.....
Or you can always sell and move.......

Keep on calling the cops.. if you are in an apartment, and share the same landlord, complain to him too, in writing.

Well I think that you should probably talk to the person before calling the police.... he would have turned his music down if you had asked im sure.

Be thankful that you could move, and didn't have to sell, to do it. Those types do not change, because you ask them to.
