i am going to start learning photography as i am a beginner in this field, i am not much aware of cameras also. So far i have read online reviews and other books for camera and i am looking for DSLR camera for me to give best performance. now i have two options which i want to buy between.
first Nikon D40x or nikon D80.
i am quit confused which one to buy. it is difficult for me to give judgement. i need advise from professional people which one to buy for best suit to me and why ? i heard there is a lens attachement difference between them, but i would like to ask you that i am not gonna buy costliest lenses in future for atleast two or three years till i go professional.

Whoa! Slow down. Take a deep breath.

Now enroll in a photography class at your local community college. Learn about f-stops and composition and shutter speed and light and ISO - by using a manual 35mm film camera. Once you understand them you will be advanced enough to consider a DSLR.

After all, would you buy a car with a manual transmission if you didn't know how to drive it?

If there are no classes locally, at least buy "Object & Image: An Introduction To Photography, Third Edition" by George M. Craven.

the d40x is a good beginner dslr. It's an entry level camera that has some decent features. I believe there are a few limits on certain lenses but you can purchase a couple inexpensive lenses to get you started. When you get more
experienced with the camera you can upgrade when you're ready. I have the d80 which I love but I wasn't a novice when I bought it. Hope this helps.

I would go to a camera shop and look at them in person. You need to hold them and see where the controls are and which feels good in your hands.

The salesperson can also answer any questions you may have.
