What if theres nothing after we die?

I still believe in God, and I still have faith in Him, I just catch myself thinking about that every so often.

And no matter what, whats the harm in living a good lifestyle?

Theres nothing to loose, but if you choose to not believe in God but it is true then you've lost a lot.

If you are a Born Again Christian you don't wonder, you know there is a God because he lives within your heart. When you get saved Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to live in your heart and it is a supernatural feeling. A power unlike anything else. It gives you a joy unmatched on this planet, it brings peace into your life even when everything is going bad, the Bible says that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord. His Spirit can change your life, it has mine, I know Jesus died on that Cross for me, I feel his presence in my heart, I feel the Love that he has for me and everyone around me, He tells us to Love our neighbors as ourselves. Without Jesus you can;t do that but with Jesus all things are possible. Jesus wants all people to know him as their Lord and Saviour, the Bible says the only way to Heaven is thru Jesus Christ. Jesus gave his life to wash away our sins on that cross, now all we have to do is ask him to forgive us of our sins meaning it with all our hearts and he will wash us clean. Here is a sinners prayer of faith, if you are ready to serve Jesus just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

You know I personally never thought of that at all just because of my personal relationship daily without him. But I know If THERE WERE NO GOD. Then I would have no man rule over me at all. I wouldn't even have a reason to obey any governmental authorities or have no reason to be law abiding.

If man is the maker of a law, then any man can make up his own rules . They did that in Noah's day where even the parents did not teach their children did not learn how to be good because God was not part of their life. They did not care about what would happen in the afterlife because they did not believe in either one.

This is why I need God to exist to control me. As the old saying goes. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

What if there is no god. Would that change your conduct at all? Most Christians don't behave any differently than non-believers. If you look at their works you quickly understand that Christianity and religion in general is the biggest business on the planet. More inhumane acts are done in the name of god than any other lame excuse.
It's not "What if god really doesn't exist." It's "the concept of god is a lame excuse for all kinds of barbaric acts."

do you ever wonder if the stars exist? do you wonder if your chair at work ever really exists? your computer, your friends, your life...

there is NO harm in living a good lifestyle. God put you here on earth to be happy and successful. He put you here with free choice in where your life turns. You are in control, God just gave you the basics to get started. You, and I are God, we choose how we live this human existence, this lifetime...

Enjoy what you have now and learn as you go...

It doesn't run across my mind at all because after I have proven who God is and what He represents in my life, nothing nor anyone can make me believe differently. I have come too far not to believe in God or question His existence. Love, be bless.

What if you have chosen the wrong god(s) to worship, thereby angering the right god(s)?

What if you live a good life and do not worship God? Would an omnipotent loving deity condemn you for not kowtowing to Him even if you helped others?
You can dress it up however you want, but it's still Pascal's Wager and it's still ridiculous!
*Cheers*

Well, besides the Bible saying there is life after death, there are many people who have been clinically dead and stated they were in Heaven, and sometimes hell, for a short time.

Experiments have been done where small objects were left on top of something near the ceiling of a hospital room. Patients who were clinically dead for a short time were later able to describe those objects.

Pascal's wager...drink

1. A flaw in your argument is that it is based on the assumption that the existence and non-existence of your god are equally likely.
2. You excluding other possible gods...about a million of them, plus the other possible hells, and on top of that, what make you so sure that "believing" is the safest bet....good works/actions is solely the logical AND right option.
3. Last but not the least, the possibility of there being a god(s) is close to zero due to the lack of evidences, your argument becomes much less persuasive. So sadly your argument is only likely to convince those who believe already.

Yes, I find myself, not exactly doubting, but entertaining the possibility. I think it's natural, and you can honestly say you haven't "blindly" accepted anything, having given all consideration some thought, and coming to the descision that's right for you.
