I have been hearing Walmart has a pretty good selection of rifles they can special order for you.

I was looking at getting a Remington 700 SPS 30-06 or Remington 700 SPS Buckmaster Edition 30-06

Neither of which are listed on their website...

Do you think I could order one of these rifles if I went to the store?

Walmart is trying to get away from stocking firearms chain-wide , so they are concentrating on "Special Orders" for non-stock rifles and shotguns. Walmart has a history of selling brand name firearms, but the "no-frills" less expensive firearms models. You will be just fine buying a rifle from Walmart regardless of what others tell you..Not everyone has the funds to afford a more expensive model, and Walmart will stand behind what they sell.Good Luck with whatever model/brand you choose.....

If Walmart can't order your rifle, try Dick's Sporting Goods, Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops or Gander Mountain Stores........

Wal Mart can special order the better grade of guns for you. The one only 10 miles south of my house carries the Remington SPS in 30-06 in their spinning case.

I've personally bought many rifles from Walmart, there is nothing wrong with buying one from there either.

But to answer your question, I'm not sure...lol, I do think they can special order you a certain make/model...I'd just call and ask them, before I wasted a trip to the local wallyworld.....

Walmart sells the cheaper grades of guns, you would be better off going to a gun shop.
A firearm is an investment, if you ever decide to sell,it's resale or trade value would be better in the long run.
You also have to look at the other side of the coin, Walmart will not fix your gun if you have problems with it!!
