I'm a junior in high school with a schedule consisting of 4 AP classes and 2 honors classes. My grades freshman and sophomore year were mostly As with a few Bs. Right now, I'm failing a few classes. For some reason, I do not care at all. I've thought about how this will affect the whole college issue, but I still don't feel motivated. The work is not difficult, I just never do it. I ace all the tests but because I never do the homework I end up not getting a good overall grade in the class. Any suggestions or thoughts on what I should do?

I felt the same way. It just means that ur probably getting more tired or (no offense) but lazy. Get more sleep, eat well, and exercise a bit to help u get up and going again. And when ur doing ur homework take a break every 15 minutes just so u went so bored easily. That helped me and I hoope it'll help u too.

My daughter went through the same thing -sort of.
She too was and still is a very smart young woman. In her Junior year in high school she just like quit caring. I think she was upset because she hung around mainly upper class men and when they graduated she just lost her motivation.
Is there any way that you might possibly talk to your counselor and/or parents about what is going on and let them possibly help you through this period in your life?
My daughter was fairly close to graduation and she took correspondence classes that counted toward her high school diploma. She was finished in December of her Senior year, but walked with her class in May.
Please hang in there and still try. You will be out of high school before you know it and off to a very different and hopefully fulfilling life after high school.

That's the exact problem I used to have. My friends helped me because they noticed how i was easily distracted by everything. They got me a bound portable notebook. It has several columns on a page: on the top it says tim blank-blank, and assignment. i plan my whole day's schedule on it, writing down from what time to what i do what and it helps quite well.

Get a job.
Think about what you would do if you didn't go to school.
Get your parents to help you do them
