I feel so fat, I'm 10 kilos more than most of my friends, I ask my mum to get me onto a diet cos I know I cant do it by myself, I ask her not to give in when I ask her for junk, but she doesn't, I want to know how to lose at least 10 kilos, I know I cant do it all at once and it will take a long time, but this is really bugging me, most of my friends are nice about it, but then it's just depressing cos I know they're putting it on, even this girl Mikayla straight out says I'm fat

Also, I can fit into my friends brothers clothes ..... and he's nearly 15!...I'm nearly as tall as him and I am basically the same weight as him but then again I cant fit into his pants and only his tops that are only a bit big for him, and if I stand next to him he looks so much skinnier

Also I get really happy then really sad or the opposite way round, I think it has something to do with how I feel about this but I'm not sure, if you know why or something could you tell me?

But how tall are you? If you are taller than your friends that would explain the difference in weight. Have you started puberty yet? You may just be further along in your development than your friends, and that also can account for the difference in weight. Are you fit and active? Do you mostly eat well? Then the best thing to do is continue to eat well, and just bring up your activity level.
Be careful of that girl Mikayla, sometimes people say bad things to you because they are actually jealous of you, about things like your friends and stuff.
Listen to your friends, they like you for who you are, and just the way you are.
**You are tall for your age - that explains the difference in weight, and boys clothes are cut differently from girls clothes and that's because we are shaped differently! Don't worry about your wieght, you seem to be OK.

Well I dont think I was that heavy at 10 but I was reading a magazine where an entire family went on a diet and their little girl was 10 and she weighed 72 kilos (which I weighed when I was 18!) and she didn't even look that huge. Don't worry too much because you are still very young and your body will change when you get older, I used to get called fat when I was your age until I was about 15 and all my extra weight moved up my body and I looked small but with big boobs. You'll be fine
** The reason you don't fit in your friends brothers pants is because females have hips and males dont, their clothes are made to fit a male (shapeless) body

You're too young to be "dieting". I know how tought it can be, but you really shouldn't worry about it. When you're older and you get to lose the weight, Mikayla will be really ugly compared to you just because you will be confident and proud and everyone will notice how attractive that is, and you will deserve it because you worked for it. If you spend your nights crying and it's all you can think about, you can ask your mom to take you to a nutritionist. She can propose something and she'll know what is healthy for a 10-year-old, and your mother doesn't have to accept anything unless she likes the plan. Good luck and God bless :)
