No, I don't think that would fly or be fair. I wonder if there has ever been two holidays on the same day? Secularists could have theirs and Christians could have theirs. The name of Christmas doesn't bother me, though. I even like Christmas carols.

No. We all know it as Christmas, whether we're Christian or not. I'm sure people are blaming this on liberal political correctness, but I'm thinking it might come from the conservative whines about the "war on Christmas." This way people can say "you can have your religious holiday. Now we're just buying gifts for Santa's Day." Blah!

we choose a "Christmas Eve present" which has been exceeded down for over one hundred years. We flow to work out the Christmas light fixtures throughout the vacationer section on Christmas Eve. We open grants, one each and each and every on Christmas Eve. We exceeded that to our childrens and now our Grandkid enjoys.

Oh, please tell me this is not real. The commercialization of Christmas is bad enough without politicians trying to commercialize or secularize it even more. Where are their brains, that they want to make something beautiful into something cheap and tawdry?
Christmas should be beautiful, joyous, reflective, and holy. It springs from a wealth of pagan traditions, all of which are ignored when we substitute 'Santa' for any indication that the holiday has a religious significance.

No. I don't think it should pass. Christmas is Christmas!! And for really religious people, that would be an insult. Christmas is supposed to represent Jesus's birth, not some old fat guy that dressed up in a red velvet and fur suit.

No because that would be a law "regarding religion or prohibiting the free exercise" and that really would be unconstitutional.
If Romney allows that to go through- then I will be decided on him for sure. If he can't uphold the constitution as Governor, then he should not be President. I am LDS.

No. Christmas is a religious holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus. Santa and his elves have nothing to do with it. I am really tired of these attempts to strip away the Christian meaning from our Christian holidays.

No it shouldn't!!! the whole purpose of Christmas is to celebrate Jesus' birthday! Not to celebrate some day when a fictional character comes and delivers all the good little children presents!!!

If this is real then that persons name should be plastered all over the media so everyone can know who that idiot is that wrote this law.
Christmas is a federal holiday. How could a state change the name of a federal holiday?

A rose by any other name is still a rose.
Besides, isn't "santa" a religious term anyway?
