Nothing. A dog has about a 3 minute recall rate, so once three minutes has passed you can punish him all you want, but it won't mean anything to him. He is not like a human and will not go "oh, I am being punished for breaking that expensive PSP".
The best bet is to catch him in the act of destroying something next time. Also, think about your dog. Is he doing it for attention? Because he is bored? Because he is teething and has nothing else to chew?
Good luck with saving up for the next PSP!

I'm sorry you lost your psp! There is nothing you can do to your dog because he will not learn from it. He does not know that he did a bad thing. Dogs destroy things and so you have to learn to keep your precious items locked safely away. My dogs have destroyed plenty of my things. One chewed an antique blanket up which was worth around $1200. I was not happy but I did learn a good lesson. Do not put valuable things by your dogs crate because he can reach through the bars and chew them!

Nothing. The dog doesn't understand that what he's done is wrong. He was attracted to the object because it smelled strongly of you. He then found it good/fun to chew on. There's nothing you can do now and punishing the dog won't help anything or fix the psp.

Don't do anything to him. Punishing him now will do him no good, he won't remember what he did! To him, you'll be punishing him for sitting on the couch!
Dogs need to be punished the second they are doing something bad, so they'll know what they are getting the firm, "NO!" for.
Never hit the dog, and I'm sorry about your PSP, but don't do anything to the dog ..
Why'd you leave it out for the dog to get anyway? That's your fault.

You should learn from YOUR mistake and realize dogs will be dogs. You can not expect him to not chew it up unless you train him not to, and it is not his fault he hasn't learned that chewing things other than what he's allowed to is unacceptable. $370 is nothing compared to the unconditional love you get from a dog, and if a psp is really more important than a dog who loves you no matter what, maybe you need to rethink what you want.

theres nothing you can do, if you do anything to the dog it wont know what it is for anyhow, youll just have to keep things put up out of the dogs reach. i know how you feel though. i bought my daughter a ps2 for xmas last year and our two dogs were wrestling through the house not long after and snapped the lid right off of it while she was trying to change games, its just things that happen when you own a dog (or have kids) things get broke and you learn better for next time.

You can't do anything.. you can't blame your dog now because the dog won't understand what your yelling at. Dog's can't tell past or future. So it will have no idea what your yelling at, if you do yell, the possiblity of your dog fearing you and running off to bite something else secretly behind your back are high. The only one you can blame is yourself for leaving it there in such a visible place that your dog can reach to or try to reach to

Aw...he really didn't mean it I'm sure. He doesn't know how important it is to you! Let him pay it off. How? I don't know, you'll have to figure it out. Maybe you can make a sign and put it on the dog, "I broke my bestfriend's PSP and I need to pay for it." and walk him around.
But whatever, don't be mad at him! Be mad at yourself, you should of kept it in a safe place! Hope you feel better soon!

Aw! He's probably just jealous of anyone or anything that takes your attention away from him. Dogs should be punished immediately after their 'crime' - otherwise he won't have a clue why he's being punished. So if it's been a few hours I would do nothing, except possibly avoid him for a while. If it's just in the last little while, then show him the broken psp and give him a gentle (definitely not too harsh) smack on the snout.

The canine reacted to the discomfort of having that's tail bent. in case you do no longer teach your son to no longer pull on the canines tail, then a nip to the hand or cheek confident will. And wager what? It does no longer be the canine's fault - it may be YOURS for no longer precise supervising the pair and removing the new child whilst he bends the canine's tail. keep them separated once you won't be able to reveal screen them like a hawk. now's the suitable time to start imposing the "delicate" play alongside with your youngest son (my cousin replaced into approximately that age whilst my aunt all started this.) whilst he's purely too tough with the canine, eliminate him for a rapid time-out (or regardless of you do for punishment.) finally he gets the message and could be delicate. If no longer, the canine will nip him. removing the canine won't resolve the priority as your son will by no ability be taught that tough play isn't appropriate, and he will do it to the subsequent canine. And the subsequent one. And the only jogging down the line....
