Your tooth ache could absolutely be from biting your diamond ring, and being the hardest substance known to man, it is the worst thing you could possibly be chewing on. However there's a decent possibility that more is going on. If you could describe the pain (sharp, dull, exactly where, exactly when it happens, if you can reproduce it on your own) it could help determine where its coming from. My recommendation is you stop chewing the ring and see if the pain gets any better. If its still bothering you after a week or two go see your dentists and he can do a more comprehensive evaluation. Feel free to describe it, I may have more input with more information.

sounds like you have the begining of an abscess , if so it could get pretty painfull , your face can even swell up sometimes depending on how bad it is , but it could be nothing , you'll know in a day or two it will eather get worse or better ,
