I don't know how old you are, but if you are young, have you told your parents? If not, tell them. Have you lived there very long? Have you used a Ouija board lately or done anything else related to the occult?
If you are an adult, and this keeps occurring, I would move if possible. If you can't afford to at the moment, could you stay with a relative? If you own the home, I would call a pastor and a paranormal investigator. Many of them investigate for free if you really feel there is something paranormal in your home.

Your symptoms could indicate any number of things.
Why would you LEAP to exocism? Seems a wee bit extreme to me.
Try these:
Do not eat right before you go to bed, causes nightmares.
Go get an annual physical, and tell the Doc that your heart hurts.
As far as the footsteps and whispering goes.......
listen to what is being said, and as long as "it" doesn't tell you to jump off of a building or kill someone, then see what kind of message you are getting.
Perhaps your subconcious is telling you something.
Analyze your dreams. Lock you doors, sleep well, knowing you are safe, and that you may have a lesson to learn......and it may not come in the form of a preist or a bottle.

No, there are no ghosts, demons, devils, or any of that other nonsense.
Everything you experience is filtered by your brain. Your knowledge of the world is really the knowledge of a model of the world your brain has built up from what it took in from your senses, in addition to what it stored in your memory.
When you dream, therefore, your brain can conjure some very realistic experiences. It can do so with the same level of detail that you experience anything else. If you listen to people, you'll notice that a lot of alien abduction stories, demon posession stories, ghost stories, and other weirdness starts with "I was just getting ready to sleep" or "I had just woke up when...".
I note that your story, also, happened "last night" and "when I wake up". It sounds like you had a waking dream where you're still half dreaming and half waking up. In short, it's not real. Don't worry about it.

Yes, I do believe in exorcism. There are holy and exemplary priests assigned by holy Mother, the Catholic Church to perform exorcism of persons, places and things possessed by evil spirits. So, if you want to let yourself be exorcised so that you'll be free from all your mysterious experiences stated on your question, you may contact and tell to the priest regarding your experience. And in my personal opinion the feeling or experience that you felt is this. There is a soul visiting you late at night or early dawn asking prayers from you. Do not worry, the soul will not harm you. He/she is asking prayers from you. You may offer Holy Masses and prayers for the eternal repose of that soul visiting you.

I would recommend you find some good stable people who know you to talk to and get feedback from, probably your pastor, if you have a church you go to. Being from what would be considered a mainstream church, I know it isn't a popular thing to say, but I do believe demons can do this sort of thing to people, though I don't believe in the Catholic form of exorcisms. However, there are other causes, too, so it isn't the default answer, either. You really need face-to-face interactions to help you sort this out.

you need to spread sea salt around your room, start from the wall furthest from the door, under your bed also and work your way to the door.hopefully you have carpet in your room so that nobody notices the salt on the floor .keep a bible open to Revelations(those are the words of Jesus) that should help.

No I don't believe there is ever any reason for an exorcism. You need to consult a medical doctor, not people on R/S.

Exorcism is only a show, meant to scare people into believing harder.
