Okay well my dog sheds like a maniac, and I went to Hawaii for week with my family and my grandma stayed home, and she said he shedded a lot less when we were gone.

Is it because of the treats i give him? Because I am the one that gives him treats and such. Or is it just because no one was rubbing him? [my grandma doesnt rub him]

I would say it was because of your Grandma not rubbing him. The hair comes out easier with this. He has to shed the old hair though so don't stop. They say Poodles don't shed but they really do, you just have to brush them to get the hair out.Otherwise it is getting tangled up in itself and will be a mess.Dogs with shorter hair are actually easier in that you don't have to brush them to get the hair out.

That rubbing could be part of it, or because she is your grandma she didn't want to make a big deal out of the shedding.

Rubbing too much is part of it. Mainly it all depends on your dog breed

Probably she wasn't petting him.
The whole trick to shedding is brush often, two, three times a day.

He might have been heartbroken you didn't take him with. Dogs have feelings too! No petting sure would have had something to do with it too.
