im going shopping on black friday [day after thxsgiving]
i dont shop for electronics or department stores i shop at speciality stores and i was wonder if a lot of people would go shopping at speciality stores at roosevelt field mall [in long island]

Going shopping on Black Friday is not worth it. I did it once and won't do it again. It's insane, stressful and to be honest, you can get really great deals shopping online. So many online stores offer free shipping now.

Seriously....ALL MALLS (no matter where) are going to be NUTS on "Black Friday". Even if the specialty stores aren't as crowded, you still have to deal with the tremendous traffic (especially around the Meadowbrook Parkway as well as Old Country Road) and the nuisance of trying to find a parking spot and dealing with the humongous crowds going in.
Your best bet would be to just buy things online. My wife and I have been doing this for years and what we save in travel and headaches is well worth it.

well...just get ready for crowds!!! Roosevelt Field will open early (many stores will have "door-buster" sales) . Parking will be ugly. You can, however, get lots of good deals that day if you can stand the madness. Good luck.

I once did shopping on black Fri. and NEVER again.
I rather pay a few dollars more than to be in that mess.
