Because I know we all burn calories with everyday activities.

I want to lose weight but I don't want to burn myself out.

I eat healthy food: Salmon, Turkey, Green Beans, Apples (my main fruit), lettuce, fat free milk/ yogurt, cherrios and 64 ounces of water. I haven't counted my calories exactly but I estimate about 1300, maybe 1400 on a greedy day.

way too much!

you only need to create a caloric defecit of 500 calories a day so you decrease your caloric intake by 250 cals and make sure that you get at least 1 hour of exercise in daily, which is an easy 250 cals for most people.

First, It would be REALLY hard to burn that many calories just by working out. Typically the machines at the gym show a gross overestimate of calories burned, so don't count on them. Use a website like SparkPeople.com to get a better idea of how much you are burning with exercise. Your calorie intake is ok, but generally you should only have a deficit of 500 to 1000 calories total per day to achieve the healthy 1-2 pounds of weight loss per week (there are 3500 calories per pound of fat).

1300 is a few distance too low, that ought to be approximately 2000 to be healthful, possibly 1900. There are 3500 energy in a pound of fat, so once you're burning 500 an afternoon, you will lose a pair of pound a week. (FYI, you burn merely approximately 2000 an afternoon, merely doing common interest).
