I'm 21 and he's 23. We're getting married in 5 weeks (yea!!!)

I think it's an age of maturity and understanding more than a numerical age. Last year, when we were engaged, I know I wasn't ready. I was only a junior in college, and hadn't yet made up my mind about post graduation, and my career. I wasn't in any position to become a wife.

I've met some people who get married at 25 and party like mad. They fight constantly, drink constantly, and aren't faithful to one another. Obviously they weren't mature enough to handle the life change of marriage.

Well we will be getting married when we are 21. We have been together since we were 17. Engaged for 1 year. I think thats a good age. As long as your up for the responsibilies that come with it and know what the meaning of marriage is then I think about any age is good. As long as your are old enough to marry of couse.

Whenever you feel ready...

I know people who have been/want to be married under 20, and also over 60.

Age doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is
- do you feel ready?
- does it fit in with your life plans? (eg some people want to pay for their own wedding, and hence like to have a full time job before getting married)
