ive never been told i need it but i was thinking maybe someday i would want it. im no stranger to surgery ive had around 5 of them medically necessary first one at 7 last one around 2 years ago and im in my mid 20s. i have no health insurance at this time because the company i was working for went out of buisness last year. i was just curious.

If it is medically necessary (according to the surgeon), then yes, a hysterectomy is covered by insurance. There may be a co-pay for things like anethesia and some of the other costs, but the bulk should be covered. How high is your deductible? If you haven't used any medical services yet this year, you may have to pay that before the insurance kicks in.

It should. Most people don't have hystorectamies unless there is something seriously wrong (tumors, growths, etc.) so they're usually covered. Good luck.

Yes it should, check with your plan.

FIRST get a 2nd & even 3rd opinion.............i would not have done it 14 years ago if i knew what i was in for...........sorta like the remedy is worse than the ailment...........
