need music note writing software for the pc (freeware)?

ok my music teacher has hand written sheet music and wants to imput it into her computer so she can then prnt off a good copy for her students to use must be freeware

She doesn't need software, she needs a good scanner. Use one to import her stuff into her PC as a PDF document file. Then, any student can view the file with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader from http://www.adobe.com

I heartily recommend a Canon "stand alone" scanner, like my LiDE 25 Model, as their software is very easy to learn to use. it creates PDF files in just a few clicks.
