I think one of the many arguments against so called intelligent design is the fact that homosexual behavior among animals occurs. Remember, conservative Christians might be able to argue that choice is involved in sexual decisions made by humans, but animals, especially with respect to sex, are purely going on instinct and biological predilection.

Hence, if intelligent design is true, then one has to ascribe same sex behavior and tendencies in animals to divine will. If that is the case, then the Christian notion that homosexuality is wrong, because God intended the sexual act solely for the purposes of procreation, is in and of itself wrong. If it were correct we should have innate heterosexual uniformity among animals, because animal sexual habits are not dictated by assessments of right and wrong.

If one argues that homosexuality is not intended, one must assume that God either made a mistake, which means he is not omnipotent or omniscient, or that the Bible is just plain wrong on the subject, and therefore might be fallible with respect to other things as well.

Ha, "there are not gay animals." I forgot, those two male dogs humping each other weren't doing that at all. I think it's a combination of biology as well as culture and society. Right handed people used to be "perfect", and left handed where taught to use their right hand because otherwise it was wrong. Now, if you are left handed, no one makes a fuss out of it, and therefore it is encouraged to do what comes naturally. I believe the same is applicable for gays. If they are born into a culture where it is "wrong" to be gay, they will try to repress it.

In the Bible a demon called "legion" was cast out of a man and asked Jesus to let 'them-being many demons in this legion' to go into a herd of pigs. Jesus allowed it and the demons drove the pigs mad and the herd ran off a cliff.

Demons can influence any living thing.

If there were a genetic component to being gay the gay argument would have been squashed LONG ago.

It's a behaviour, not a genetic trait.
It cannot be.
They are not trying to copulate to produce biologically. Even the animals know that.
If they were "gay" how long would the species actually survive?

Spent most of my life in the woods. Never seen a single gay wild animal.

Nah, it's instinctual. Actually all we have are theories. We're still trying to understand human sexuality, we haven't even scratched the surface of animal sexuality yet -- except for the need to procreate.

That applies to lots of things btw.

Animals lack the kind of reasoning power that human beings have. They are not to be compared to humans in our abilities to make choices.

Gay animals? Yeah right. Someone probably got a PhD for that stupidity.

I cannot say for sure.

So far, no one is condemning the animals for their choices.
