I have a guinea pig and am looking for a good home for it. I have a single, retired lady wanting to adopt him. the only concern we have is that she has an electronic rodent repeller in her house. Does anyone know if the guinea pig will be o.k. with that in her house or will it hurt him? I have never dealt with an electronic rodent repeller. I want him, our guinea pig, to be happy, that is why I am giving him up for adoption because we cannot give him enough attention. If you can help me, please let me know!!!! Thanks!!!!

No. They will be able to hear it, as they are rodents.

The repeller won't harm the guinea pig, so take him over and see how he reacts. It makes a high pitched sound that rodents can hear and don't like. I'm guessing that he will be fine if he's not too close to it. If he seems in any distress in the spot where she wants to keep him, maybe he can't tolerate it. I suspect too, that even if he didn't like the sound at first, he would get used to it.
I have seen one of these repellers in a rat-infested garage, and there was rat poop up to one foot from it. Apparently the rats didn't like it but it didn't upset them too much.
So, try him out with it. It's worth a try.

Yes, the guinea pig can be harmed by the repellant if it is in the same room as the repellant. I have included a link to a web page of a common electronic rodent repellant that warns of this.

NO Guinea Pigs like Mice Rats and other rodents are irritated by the sub sonic pulse created by these devices. sorry for the bad news and I hope you are able to find the feller a good home.

No the repellent will be bad for him too as he's in the rodent family.

I shouldn't think it'd be a problem. I don't know the strength of what she uses, but I've had a similar product, and a rabbit, guinea pig, and gerbils all in the same house.
