i know it does have wi fi i just dont know why some people on here say it doesnt?

I don't think they're getting the 2 versions confused. Someone said the 20 and 40 gb doesn't have Wi-Fi, and then the person that posted after the guy said the same thing. So, it's likely that people are just copying off other people.

yea dont get confused, in the beginning sony wanted to save some money so they lowereed prices and made the 20 gig with no wi fi
now for the same price you can get a 40 gig with wi fi so dont get confused the 40 g does have wifi
and if you wana spend 100 dollars more the 60 g used to be 600
now its 500 and so is the 80 g so i suggest you double your harddrive and pay just 25 percent more

Yeah, I know. The 40GB PS3 does have built in WiFi, I guess that other people get it mixed up with the 20GB PS3, or they simply don't know what in the world they're talking about!
All of the PS3's have built in Wifi except for the 20GB model.

Becase they mess it with 20GB (it isn't on sal for a long time). 20GB didn't have wi-fi, 40GB does.
