Try to develop your skills and talents as much as you can. Try to get as tough, and as sharp, as you can spiritually. Pray/meditate, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, don't overindulge, and look for inspiration from all possible sources. This will make you stronger spiritually. Then try to be able, to contribute positively to addressing, in some way, some othe very serious problems we have affecting this world. I believe what you do positive for this world, will determine how positively God see you. Also others, will appreciate your good character.

As someone who never fully answered that question for myself, I would recommend that you try lots of things to discover what you enjoy and what you don't. I've discovered many fun hobbies, but no real career - maybe your path to fame and fortune will be shorter than mine. But since you obviously like YA, why not start by going for Level 3?
