The bible says he was cast out of heaven along with his angels, what we call demons now. Don't listen to what churches say read the bible.

Jesus said "I saw Satan fall like lightning."
Satan is a fallen angel along with the other fallen angels that he heads up. Some have withered to demons.
Some fallen angels have been chained for a day and an hour
that only God knows about. These are the bad, bad guys.

Satan is a Cherub according to Ezekiel 28:11.
The angels that came after the fllod (Genesis 6:1) are in tartarus (2 Peter )
but other group of rebels were cast out of heaven after the book of Revelation 12:7 was written cause the book of Revelation is about thing that will happen in the future (when John wrote it) so was after the first century.

The book of Revelation (12:4) says Satan swept 1/3 of the angels away and there was no room in Heaven ANY MORE for them.
That's why.

If I remember correctly....Satan was Lucipher....the most beautiful angel God created. He was the angel of light. However he got arrogant and thought himself better than God. When he was thrown out of heaven - 1/3 of all the other angels went with him.

Angels like humans have freewill to make their own choices. God did not use his power to restrict their movement. Why would God punish someone who hadn't sinned yet? No and Satan fell from perfection, he was kicked out of heaven.

Satan was an archangel in charge of worship around the throne of God. He may have been the most powerful angel created. Where he is now is not clear.

I really don't know what your saying, but picture this...
Satan was an angel but because of his wishes to be God, blasphemy and all, he was cast down to hell...with all of his followers.....anybody who thinks else wise must not read the bible...

The e book you're studying is pretend. that's a deception. The Bible tells us that Lucifer and devil are a similar. Lucifer changed into the angel in Heaven, until eventually he fell, and grew to develop into devil, the accuser.
