I don't like the idea of a world where everyone is under a mandated umbrella of anything. I like diversity. It's incredible to recognize the rich diversity of cultures and traditions among those who profess that particular faith. Why do you think there are so many branches of it?
Also, it is often difficult to separate secular traditions from religious ones within most cultures, as cultural distinctions often originated from religious practices. Get rid of all art, literature, celebrations, practices, etc. with religious connotations within a culture, and you don't have much left to enjoy, and no context in which to appreciate whatever is.
You don't have to "believe in" that or any particular religious faith, but you can't legitimately dismiss its cultural significance.

Jesus doesn't take away culture or diversity at all you are grossly mistaken. i went on a business trip to georgia and hung out with my church in that city. and was immersed in southern culture. and going to our mexico churches we find so much culture and beauty in there dances and foods. but here is the list of things that were missing from those "christian's" cultures because of the church... sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and drug abuse, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, rebelliousness, arrogance, and greed.
now imagine the world with all of its beautiful culture and ethnicity without all of the above evils? that is God's vision of the church. but as always, man has the right to choose.
the HELL you describe sounds like what the world is going though now. all the same in how we are striving for a better life, and how we all believe we should be doing whatever to make ourselves happy, but something is very wrong with the world today in spite of all this "searching". and there is an emptiness that surfaces whenever we are alone in our thoughts...in the quiet moments before we drift into sleep...that still voice that says, "something is missing."
THE "TRUE" CHURCH OF GOD IS NOT ROBOTISM...IT IS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Here is the amazing thing. God is promising a world where all will worship Him, and in that new world there will be a great deal of diversity, culture and creativity. There will be cooperation, and joy, peace and genuine happiness for the well being of others.
Additionally, there will be no more hatred, or sickness, or death, or any of the things of this world which make it the way it is now. No diseases, no heartbreak, no killings, or murder....
Frankly, I think it sounds much better than what I hear on the nightly news. And frankly, I can't imagine not wanting that, not only for myself, but even better for everyone.
Are you saying you wouldn't want your loved ones to know peace and joy, happiness, and LOVE?

TO the people who said no more wars.. someone explain to me the centuries of conflicts between Christian countries? And not just after the reformation... and who's to say which sect of Christianity would be trump? It would be the same all the way. Peole would still kill eachother... and whats up with the dude who said no more nudity?
Who doesn't want nudity? Whats wrong with nudity? The body is beautiful.. some more than others granted...
This is an obvious bait question, but seriously... the world wouldn't be any different. For hundreds of years, Europeans knew very little of the rest fo the world... and were all Christians, and they manged to mess things up pretty good.

In diverse do you mean like homosexuals, perverts, drunks, abortionist, people making movies about raping young girls (like the Robert Redford, Dakota Fanning movie), NAMBLA, illegal aliens taking away American Citizens jobs, people more concerned with the lifestyles of rich and pompus Hollywood actors and actresses than the US Military Soldiers dieing in Afghanistan and Iraq??? Is this what you mean by diverse?

Ironically, a world populated by Christians would lead to a high number of homosexuals. This is due to the likely hood that many would "try" to live "normal" lives as they did in the earlier days of America, and spread their genes more. Nothing against homosexuals, but it strikes me funny that "christian morals" produces something many are strongly against.
It would also be a set back for science and the pursuit of knowledge.

That is the kind of thinking that makes people not want to be saved. Because we have no idea what true happiness is like, we assume it is boring....losers
