I am 19 years old and really have very little music/instrumental background. But I really really want to start learning how to play the spanish/flamenco guitar. Is it too late to learn cause of my age and lack of instrument experience. This is just what some people have told me but I want more than just a couple words for it. What is some advice.

No it's not too late. Work your *** off and in 6 months I bet you'd be really good.

Being up to late at night is a relative type of late. You may be tired if you don't get enough sleep. Otherwise, it's never too late until death. Then you can't do a thing about it. I am always up too late. I feel better when it's "late" for most others.

It is never to late to learn anything you just have to stay focus and be commited...I will not lie to you it is hard learning how to play and instrument ( i play the flute) but if you stick with it and, think to yourself I can do it when you get frustrated then you can learn the guitar...good luck

no. if you're doing this for enjoyment, not for school or a career or anything, it's never too late to start. There are plenty of classical fingerstyle scores available for dirt cheap on the internet, and it would make your progress fly by if you get a good teacher. Start by learning how to take care of your fingernails.

It's never too late. Go for it. Be aware that it will hurt your fingers at first, and you will need plenty of practice time.
Hope this helps.
