I have not put our tree up but I'm going to pit it in the corner beside both couchs which should keep my kids away a little but I'd say something like that and just tell him no in a stern voice every time he goes near it should only take a day or 2

We put all the unbreakables on the reachable part of the tree and save the glass ornaments for the upper part. Yes, I know, weird, but we have an almost 5 and a two, and we have yet to have any issues.

No sorry, LOL! I have 3 kids, and they're all a year apart so 3 years ago, I had 3 of them attacking it.

They're now 5, 4 & 3 and I'll bet they still keep touching.

You just have to keep watch I guess but it'll probably go over at least once.

I have a friend who got an antique play pen (the wood kind) in a thrift store and put her tree in it. She wrapped greens and ribbons on the playpen that matched what was on the tree. It was really quite pretty, and also effective!

The only tried and true way is one of those little plastic gate fence thingys. Or put it in a closed off room and put a gate up in the doorway. He can only be in the room when you are there to supervise.

Just put cheap ornaments on the bottom and make sure it's firmly stood in its stand...you cant keep them away from the tree...they love it! Its there for them really anyway.

This is our son's first "real" xmas (he has born shortly before xmas last year). We plan to just put lights, ornaments, etc. only about halfway down the tree (i.e., just out of his reach). We'll see how well this works for us... although I know it has worked for friends of ours.

One year I had to do a trade.
The xmas tree went in the playpen (he didn't stay in it anyways)
