Agnostics, Atheists, can you give me a convincing, plausible theological argument FOR the non existence of God?

Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
The universe began to exist.
Therefore, the universe has a cause.

From the very nature of the case, this cause must be an uncaused, changeless, timeless, and immaterial being which created the universe. It must be uncaused because we've seen that there cannot be an infinite regress of causes. It must be timeless and therefore changeless—at least without the universe—because it created time. Because it also created space, it must transcend space as well and therefore be immaterial, not physical.

Moreover, it must also be personal. For how else could a timeless cause give rise to a temporal effect like the universe? If the cause were a mechanically operating set of necessary and sufficient conditions, then the cause could never exist without the effect. For example, the cause of water's freezing is the temperature's being below 0˚ Centigrade. If the temperature were below 0˚ from eternity past, then any water that was around would be frozen from eternity. It would be impossible for the water to begin to freeze just a finite time ago. So if the cause is permanently present, then the effect should be permanently present as well. The only way for the cause to be timeless and the effect to begin in time is for the cause to be a personal agent who freely chooses to create an effect in time without any prior determining conditions.

Whether or not it's convincing is up to you, but I think this is at the very least plausible.

There are just too many coincidences that would have had to happen in order for existance to happen randomly. Humans need oxygen to live, coincidentally, earth is an oxygen-rich environment. Every body part needs blood in order to function, coincedentally, we have a circulatory system that distributes blood and nutrients evenly throughout the body. If it is too hot, or too cold, we will die, coincidentally, the earth is the perfect distance from the sun to allow life to thrive. Even 100 miles closer or further from the sun, and we would go extinct. There are literally billions of miniscule details that we rarely think about consciously that are the difference between life and extinction. I could list more, but I don't want to drone on and on about it. Call it god, call it mother nature, call it whatever you want, but it's pretty clear to me that "nature" has a brain, and knows what it's doing. If you can reach that conclusion, and concede intelligent design, you're not far from finding God, Allah, Zeus, Jimmy, whatever you feel like calling it.

Of course not. Nobody can convince someone who doesn't WANT to be convinced, especially when all of the 'evidence' is from so long ago, and from such watered-down sources as word-of-mouth or the Bible. Most of what we know today is probably very skewed; I mean, it's been translated into hundreds of languages, rewritten, defiled, changed.
The only REAL reason any one of us can have is thus: because we WANT to believe.
Honestly, I think it's a mindset. Some people are okay with the idea that there's nothing else. Some peole are okay with the notion that they were nothing before they were born, and that they'll be nothing after. Some people resolutely walk the path of life without the comfort of a loving - but invisible - hand.
I am not one of these people. I believe in God because I want to, because something inside of me shrinks from the LONELINESS of their not being a God.
And for me, that's reason enough.

I am a science major and i wont believe anything unless i have proof.. and i have all the proof i need and more to prove theres God, especially after taking a million science and math classes...all it did is strengthen my faith.
personally, i read the quran and there are so many scientific details mentioned that have not been discovered until recently. Cloning the sheep is in there, aids, descriptions about the layers of the atmosphere, how a baby grows in a womb, and lots of astronomy. Keep in mind, the quran was revealed thousands of years ago.

Just look around.........what do you see? How did it get here? What or who keeps all the planets alligned perfectly to preserve life??? How are the seas and skies so complex? Not by an accident surely! If you find a dollar in the street, do you say to your self: hmm I found this piece of paper just laying here, it must have came into existence by accident! Or do you see it and say: hey look someone droped their dollar? Everything has a creator.....but who created God?

Faith does play a role in the life of a Christian. For the person who truly wants to seek God and learn to please Him, notice:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is vital to a Christian. In fact, without it, no one can please God. Notice, this verse says that those seeking God “must believe that He is.” A deep belief in God, who “rewards” all who “diligently seek Him,” requires proof of His existence. After proof has been established, then—and only then—can one have faith—absolute confidence—that what he does is being recorded in God’s mind, to be remembered when he receives his reward. If you are uncertain that God exists, because proof of that existence has not been firmly established, then, under fire, your faith will wane or disappear.

and to some of you then why is it that the christain are the only ones helping (feed the Children ) ect . you dont see any wiccans or satin's groups doing good works cuz they are self absorbed

"God is within man - man is within God."
That's the only clue I'm allowed to pass along!

The proof within the pudding is in the eating!
A person must convince them-self!

Theologians are as lost as the average stooge, when it comes to understanding the "One" that man calls "The Creator".

I'm behind you 100%!
Give it your best shot!

Revelation of God comes from God.
Those who love and seek the truth will receive a gift called faith and through faith comes revelation from God and a personal relationship with God.
