I have two beige couches I want to sell. One is a loveseat and the other has three cushions. They both recline on the ends and I originally paid about $1500 for both. They are approx. 6 years old and in Excellent condition.
I'm getting a new sectional and I'm wondering about how much my used couches will go for on craigs list. Thanks for any input!

$2-300. Used furniture usually doesn't fetch much.

And if you're using craigslist, beware of scam offers. Don't entertain anyone who doesn't offer to show up in person with cash.
I got responses from idjits in other countries, and they wanted me to advance the 'shipping fees.' ha!

Well, first, if your want to get the best offers, you will need to get pics. You'll get better quality offers if real shoppers can see the condition up front.

Otherwise you'll get low ball offers from all sorts of clowns wanting to take your items off your hands as curbside pickup.

6 year old stuff wont get much, maybe a few hundred if you find the right person, and the furniture is spotless.

Make sure you have turned them upside down, and there are no webs growing underneath. Not trying to be a butthole, but I have seen lots of "clean, but experienced" furniture with stuff crawling in the framework. I used to buy items and refinish them, to re-sell. It was always a good place to start when negotiating prices. Staple new dust covers on the bottom if necessary.

I would try to sell each separately. big one for 350 and small one for 150 and 50 less if someone wants to buy them together. clean them thoroughly, take nice sharp pictures and put them on craigslist/ebay...

Furnitre usually doesnt have a good resale value. Other option is ask salvation army to pick it up and write the price as 1500...that way u can make more on the tax returns than selling them and its a quicker alternative!

U could also ask the new furniture store to take the old one and give u price cut on the new sectional.

I think it will depend a little bit on where you live, but I'd think that you could get between $500 and $600 for them.

Perhaps ask for $700 and take $600?

Any chance you could deliver them? I'll bet you could ask for more then.
