I don't let much offend me.

Not at all.
Even though I know the historical background, it does not offend me, as they have good intentions in wishing me happy holidays. Same goes with other wishes and greetings, I appreciate them, they are kind expressions which come from their particular beliefs.

No. Nor am I offended if someone says "merry Christmas" or "happy Easter". Or even "God bless you". I have more important things to get uptight about than that stuff. Besides, I just take it as someone wishing me well - the choice of words is irrelevant.

Nah. Unless it's like, mid-May, and someone says it. Then I'm not actually offended, I'm just weirded out.

Christmas is a holiday, after all. I wouldn't even get offended if they said "Merry Christmas". Tis the season. As long as they didn't say "You do believe in Jesus, right? Cause if not, you're a hypocrite.", then I don't care.

No. Nor am I offended when people say, "God bless you," "Merry Christmas", "God bless America", "Happy Easter" and whatever else you can think of. I'm also not offended by moments of silence, or when my great-grandma wants us all to say grace before eating on Thanksgiving.

I simply thank people and wish them well in return. Life is too short to care about such trivial things.

Edit: Who's giving everyone the thumbs down?

So George Washington's birthday is a holy-day?

Not at all. I don't mind "Merry Christmas", "Happy New Year", "Happy Easter" or any of the others.

They are fine greetings. To me, they have no religious context at all....

I also have no problem with manger scenes, creches, stars of david, christmas trees, easter bunnies or baskets - they have no religious meaning to me at all.

As long as I'm not required to display those items in my home, I'm fine with it.

Yes, say Merry Christmas, for Pete's sake! I like your holiday, and respect your right to worship on it.

Not at all: it's a nice thing for them to say.

For the record, I wish them happy holidays as well.
