I was raised in a Christian home, so I didn't have a drastic salvation experience, but I did notice that I could finally read and understand the Bible. It made sense, you know?

Becks, I can't believe you interpreted what I said like that! I didn't say I understood everything. It's just that, before I was saved there wasn't a lot of meaning to what I read.

My next door neighbours we saved, and would minister to me (though I was TOTALLY not interested). My son J had many health problems and behavioural problems (dr's thought he had autism) and couldn't make even a babble though he was almost two. They asked if they could take him to church, and I couldn't see a problem with it, as long as I didn't have to go lol. When J returned home, something about him (hindsight: GOD! lol) caused me to literally run next door again and be born again and go to church.

Three days later, my son started saying 'mamamama', and I cried in absolute JOY! When I told my neighbours (the leader of my church was one of them) they praised God, and said 'of course, we healed him at service!'... bye bye health problems!

Everything in my life has gone upwards and forwards ever since. My life is full of grace and blessing.

Take care, God bless

I was 14.Iwasn't raised in a christian home ,but at 13 I saw my mothers life change immensly.Sh ehad more love and tolerance than I could believe, and I wanted to have that same thing too.She started reading and praying with me,and we both grew spiritually.Unfortunately ,my committment to Christ was'nt planted in good soil, and I wondered away from my beliefs in high school.through the yrs I always felt God calling me back to fellowship with Him,but didn't listen until 2003,at 35,that I gave my heart to the Lord again.I have stumbled at times,as all christians do,but I keep my focus on Jesus and wouldn't trade Him for anything in this world.I am just sorry I wasted so many years out there in the world ,never being satisfied.

Salvation is not a one time act. It is a process.

Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31–46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of enmity and rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell.

"As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

I'll tell you and first let me say I was saved, saved from myself.
I was a self pity suicidal druggy. At 32 I went outside and shuck my fist up to heaven and said God if you don't do something with my life I'm going tot kill myself.God did and I took the help and that's been 23 years ago.I thank God every day that I have a life fit to live and love the knowledge that Jesus is Lord.

My mother is Puerto Rican and Catholic. My father was an agnostic who believed in a "happy hunting ground". My mother took me often to church to do all the Catholic ritual stuff. Then, in Catechism class, we all rose to our feet when the Father walked in. Something deep inside of me thought this was wrong. Like Mordecai not bowing to Haman, I went to my mother and told her I no longer wanted to go. She did not force me.

I was without religion for the next 10 years, and I felt very empty going through Junior High School. I wanted God, but could not find Him. Then, my friend Steve asked me if I had ever been "saved". What was that? He told me that it was asking Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior. I could have Jesus come in to my heart?!? I was NEVER told this at the Catholic church. I was just given a lot of rituals and things to do and requirements to keep--all of which led me AWAY from God! So on Thanksgiving night of 1970, I asked Jesus into my heart as Lord and Savior. A few months later, I asked the Holy Spirit to fill me and from that point on, I knew that God was real, God was personal and that the Bible was indeed His very eternal Word.

I became one of those born-again Jesus Freaks of the 1970s. This was the Calvary Chapel movement that started in Costa Mesa, California USA. http://calvarychapel.org/?show=Resources.History

I was by myself when I asked Christ into my heart, because I figured if He IS God, He can meet me where I am at and not at a church. And He did, in a BIG way. Been walking and talking with Him for 36 years now.

I have always wanted a personal relationship with my Creator, but never knew how to gain it. Christianity showed me how and proved it beyond what I could imagine. The Bible showed me that this salvation was free, with no requirements other than to believe and trust in the Savior as Lord.

I was known as the "good and nice girl"- and had gone to church everyday that I can remember since I was a baby. However when I was 17 I finally realized that my goodness would not save me. I was not saved from drugs, or a sexual lifestyle that was not pleasing God, or alcohol, or anything drastic, however I was saved from myself- believing that I could do something to save myself, because I was known as the good girl. When I realized God's holiness I realized my lack of holiness- so I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sin, and accepted Him as full payment for my sin, and for the last 30 years I have been in training so that I can live to please Him.

So no story to tell about your salvation experience? Hah! I'll tell you what happened. GOD brought YOU, Jade, into a Christian home, and He saw you from eternity! HE gave YOU, Jade, scriptures written so YOU could know Him. He opened your eyes, Jade, something He doesn't do with everyone. That is an unfathomable honor and like every other person God Almighty calls to Himself, it is a humbling, on-your-knees experience. YOU are HIS, Jade, rejoice--again I say rejoice! Your salvation story is PHENOMENAL!

I can very well relate to this.

I have been through a VERY VERY tough life and i still kinda am.But if God hasn't been there for me,then i dont know how i would have gone through this all by myself. Not just that, but also in times when i was alone and no one could help me,then i asked God and he helped me with my situation.I thank God Every Second!
