I dont think it is a farce .. but I dont think it is the whole story or as bad as we are led to believe
we are hearing of climate change
but the southern hemisphere is experiencing some of the Norths conditions and vice versa
I believe this is due to a shift at the earths core
the seasons are changing .. but this I feel is a natural occurrence that happens every so often
I know I have heard similar before , but dont know what Exxon is sorry , so unsure if they have brought this up
I am Spiritualist

Fact or fiction: The Earth is destined for another ice age?
Science tells us yes.
The earth will warm, the earth will cool. Somehow, the earth will survive.
The argument isn't whether or not Global Warming is real - the argument is how much it is, how much humans are responsible, and how much we can really do about it.
I think Global Warming is being used as a scare tactic, in much the same way Terrorism is being used. Lemmings on both sides of the aisles follow right along.

It is complicated.
The temperature is clearly rising a little, but it is rising lots of other places (like Mars, Triton, Pluto, Jupiter) in the Solar System. The output of the Sun is also clearly up a little.
Many (not all) meteorologists will say that man is contributory or even the primary cause. But, many (not all) astrophysicists are saying that the cause is solar.
I just am not prepared to go to extreme levels and trash our entire capitalist system for something that in all likelihood there is nothing we can do about it either way.

I guess nothing that complicated is really a fact but there's a hell of a lot of evidence that it's happening and that we're causing it. Most (all) evidence to the contrary is published by people with an interest in the things causing it.
Either way, we're screwing up the planet and we need to find better ways of doing things. Human health is definitely negatively affected by pollution. Even if you don't care about that, the new technology and industries created to solve these problems will boost the world economy and pull our (USA's) economy out of the slump its in now, and the bigger one that's on its way.
Oh yeah, undecided.

Atheist. It's both. The earth is warming. That's
a fact. How much we are responsible for that
is hard to say. Probably much less than we think.
In the end we are in an ice age and ice ages
are not the normal state. However. Sudden warming
is not favorable for us. So if we can do anything
to slow it down, it would be a pretty good idea to do
it.

i'm inquisitive approximately looking after our planet, yet... Does this sound wide-unfold? "THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!" On planet earth, there as quickly as roamed dinosaurs. The climate replaced into truly tropical. Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico have been all below water. The decrease peninsula of Michigan replaced right into a mountain chain that replaced into surrounded by using salt water. The climate replaced (having no longer something to do with guy). The dinosaurs all yet thoroughly died away. The large oceans too all dried up, forsaking deserts. An ice age overcame the land after which after that, a warming. interior the 1400s many years long cooling got here approximately and greater rains got here. by using the Nineteen Seventies we've been advised by using maximum suitable "professionals" that the international replaced into understanding of oil and all would be long gone interior of a decade. We have been advised additionally that yet another ice age replaced into coming. once you think of of all the oil spills from ships sinking in WW II, of all the fireplace bombings of cities like Dresden and Tokyo and of the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima after which upload interior the various years upon many years of nuclear "finding out," persons are in basic terms now thinking that "possibly" the climate is commencing off to alter? My spouse is going by using menopause. possibly SHE'S the reason for the "international warming!"

Fact.
The planet has undergone thousands of climate changes since it was formed millions and millions of years ago.
We are, after all, moving through space on a journey. Nothing will stay static.
I do think we are speeding things up - a lot. Those who chose to ignore it are a pitiful bunch..... I think there are things that we, as a civilization of humans, could do a lot to slow down the changes or to lessen the effect those changes will have on the human race... But, I don't think there is a thing we can do to stop it.
It is the nature of the Universe.

Are the temperatures rising? Yes.
Do we clearly know the cause? No.
Do I trust Exxon or Al Gore? No. I'll stick to what climatologist have to say, which is mixed on the causes for this right now.
