Adding sugar (sucrose) to water can help some seeds to germinate. Also, using sugar when transplanting helps with a plants ability to root better. These factors alone can give a better yield of production during harvest. Therefore, more food produced in a smaller area. Makes it easier for people to grow their own gardens using organic methods which is good for the environment and also good for the body.
